Why NOFO
A Local Family, Not A Franchise Route.
We are the same people who have been treating Suffolk County properties for ticks and mosquitoes since 2019. The trucks, the technicians and the phone number did not change when we added interior pest control — only the range of what we can solve did.
[ 01 ] The Company
Where This Started
NOFO Tick & Mosquito Control opened in 2019 with a narrow job: make Suffolk County yards usable again. That meant tree lines, tall grass, standing water and the property edges where ticks and mosquitoes breed — and it meant learning the local landscape lot by lot, from the farm fields of the North Fork to the tight village blocks of the South Shore.
The question we kept getting had nothing to do with the yard. Customers wanted to know about the mice in the garage, the ants on the kitchen counter, the roach someone saw behind the dishwasher. We were already on the property. We already knew the house. We just were not licensed for the inside of it yet.
So we expanded properly — additional licensing, additional training, additional equipment — and launched NOFO Pest Control as a division of the same family company. Nine services now, covering the pests that actually show up in Suffolk County buildings.
What did not change is the part customers care about most: you talk to the family that owns the company, a technician is dispatched within 24–48 hours, and nobody treats your house without telling you what they are using and why.

[ 02 ] The Standards
Seven Things We Hold To.
Clear plans, no guesswork
We walk you through the issue, the solution, and exactly what to expect. You will never be handed an invoice for a treatment nobody explained.
Fast response
A technician is dispatched within 24–48 hours, and next-day appointments are often available. Emergencies get same-day service.
Prevention, not just extermination
Killing what you can see is the easy half. We find how and why pests are getting in and show you how to stop the next wave.
Education, not just extermination
We explain what is happening, what we are treating, and what normal looks like afterward. Informed homeowners get better results.
Local pest knowledge
Coastal moisture, wooded lots, older housing stock — Suffolk County has its own pest patterns. Different towns, different problems.
You're not calling a call center
You reach the same local family team every time. The person who answers the phone knows the property you are calling about.
Licensed, insured, customized
Fully licensed and insured in New York State, with treatment plans built around your property instead of a fixed package.
[ 03 ] The Method
Inspect, Plan, Treat, Prevent
The same four steps on every property, whether it is a two-bedroom cottage in Orient or a restaurant kitchen in Patchogue.
Inspect
A full property inspection to identify the pest, the severity, and where the activity is concentrated.
Plan
A customized treatment plan built for your property — not a one-size-fits-all spray schedule.
Treat
We eliminate the problem at its source with proven methods, and we tell you what we are using and why.
Prevent
We find how and why they got in, then seal the story shut so the same pressure does not come back.
[ 04 ] The Other Half
Outside Work Still Lives Next Door.
Ticks and mosquitoes are handled by NOFO Tick & Mosquito Control — the original division, same family, same standards. Many customers run both, and we coordinate the visits so you are not home twice.
